Harbourfront Guesthouse is at Namasari village on Gaua. It is owned by Chief Edgel Witing.

Harbourfront Guesthouse has two rooms: one single and one double. It looks pretty basic but the location is nice and people are friendly. Harbourfront also is one of the least expensive places to stay on Gaua at 1500 Vatu per person, including meals (aelan kaekae). Exchange rates.

Namasari have their own track to Lake Letas and a good fibreglass canoe. They're still waiting for tourists. It would be good if they got some visitors and could develop their tourism skills.

You can make enquiries by calling the Gaua Tourism Office on 38596 (Monday, Wednesday and Friday, when the plane comes from Santo).

We arrived hoping to stay in this guesthouse but Chief Edgel Whiting and his family had moved into it. They are planning on rebuiding and once again vacating the guesthouse but this one is not possible presently to stay in. However we were directed to WEUL GUESTHOUSE which could not have been better. We did some 'tours' with the chief. But stayed and were cared for by Weul.
