Miko Guesthouse offers basic, comfortable and friendly accommodation at Anelgauhat, Aneityum. It's a good base for bushwalking and just across the water from Mystery Island and the airfield.

Costs and Booking
Accommodation costs 1500 Vatu per person, per night to stay at Miko Guesthouse, self-catering. Meals can be provided for 150 Vatu per plate. Exchange Rates.

Accommodation and Food
The guesthouse is a modern construction of concrete blocks with four bedrooms (two single beds in each). Bedding and mosquito nets are provided.

The outside toilet is a basic dry pit latrine. Buckets are used in the haos blong swim. Bring your own bath towel, toilet paper and soap.

Cooking facilities include a gas cook top and a good assortment of pots, pans, plates, cups, glasses and cutlery. Tea, sugar and powder milk are complimentary.

Prepared meals are usually fish with aelan kaekae (manioc, kumala, other vegetables) or rice and quite satisfying for hungry hikers. The manioc pancakes are excellent for breakfast and home-baked bread is available. The Anelgauhat water supply is piped down from the mountains and should be OK to drink.

We stayed for a week in September 2007 and had a wonderful time. Aneityum is very family friendly if you like to make your own fun. Its a good idea to pack your own tea and coffee as these were in short supply.

I was there in January 2009,the place look very nice with a nice view of the mystery island,i would sit under the banyan tree and admire the sun set across the nijijau point. thanks william,
