Beatrice has built her two bungalows near the small group of traditional homes occupied by her extended family, hence the name 'Pialo Small Kastom Village' ('pee-ah-low'). The 'village' is situated in the heart of Big Nambas territory, near Tenmaru ('ten-ma-roo') in northwest Malekula.

Pialo offers a chance to experience the daily life of the Big Nambas people. Activities include the Pialo Big Nambas Kastom Experience (spirit cave, custom dance, cannibal story, magic stones), bush walks, local walks to the village or waterfall, swimming and snorkelling (bring your own gear).
